I’ve been sketching, building, and tweaking things for as long as I can remember, from drawing as a kid to building a tree house to working on my bike for the next big jump.  Art was always at the center of everything.  And at one point, my art hobby turned into GAR Dezigns, my first screen-printing business, where I learned the discipline of taking an idea all the way to a finished product that customers could wear.  When I moved into the sign industry, that same end-to-end mindset expanded: vector artwork one hour, aluminum welding the next, then troubleshooting how I was going to help my daughter with her project (due tomorrow).  Design for me isn’t just pixels; it’s knowing how materials behave, how paint lays down, and how an install crew will hang the sign in real weather.  And of course, the number one rule that is the lifeline of all my designs.  Design must function.  Outside the shop, I am usually learning another program or how to do something better.  I love being behind a camera taking pictures or doing nothing watching youtube.  On Sunday mornings I am at church at 5:30a setting up the stage and getting ready to mix for the morning.  Whether it’s a brand mark, a welded frame, or a Sunday morning soundscape, I’m happiest when ideas move off the screen and into real life, hopefully making the world a better place.

Most of what you will find here is work from working in the sign industry.  A few years back my drive that I stored everything on decided it didnt' want to be part of this world any longer.  I wasn't able to save very much.  Pretty much everything from my screen printing business to about seven years of photography.  What I could gather together is here on this site.  I pulled some of the pics of signage from Metro's website.
